Meaning ‘pride of lions’, this exclusive accolade is only awarded to members that complete the Epic three times. Quite an achievement considering that one of the riders has only just turned 22.

Each of the three has a heart of a lion – demonstrating team spirit, endurance and strength of will. Team captain, Ernst Viljoen, commented during the days briefing session, “With days of mud, rain, cold, bumps and bruisers – we are exhausted.  What keeps us going is our individual goals and I know the three inspiring men will do Team Absa proud and come home with the Amabubesi.”

Go Team Absa!
