Show Johannesburg that the Hollard Jozi Urban Mountain Bike Adventure is not just another mountain bike race? Challenge accepted.
With 5km of stormwater drains, two 120-meter long floating bridges, scaffolding and a 700-meter tunnel, the Hollard JUMA is a mountain bike adventure like no other. It’s an event that transforms the worlds’ biggest urban forest into a mountain biker’s playground with a course build worth over R1.5 million.

The Hollard Jozi Urban Run Adventure and Hollard Jozi Urban MTB Adventure are partnered by Hollard and BAM specialist events in partnership with Johannesburg City Parks and Joburg Zoo.
Approximately 5000 cyclists converged on Marks Park on Sunday 29th May 2016 to explore and race through the underbelly of Johannesburg. The weather was perfect, the route much improved and there were smiles and compliments all round.
All the 2014 feedback and resulting changes showed that the Hollard JUMA is an event that’s focused on creating a ride to remember – no matter what your skill level.
“We wanted to show riders that we listen and that our focus is on creating the best and most unique mountain biking experience possible. We think that everyone who rode this weekend saw the improvements on the 2014 race, from little to no bottlenecks to only a handful of serious injuries. There were massive smiles and infectious atmosphere at the finish and we’d like to thank everyone who gave us the opportunity to show them what the Hollard JUMA is all about.“ said Mark Castel, Event Organiser, BAM Event and Experience Creators.
