Entries for the 2016 FNB Wines2Whales (W2W) Mountain Bike (MTB) Events will open on Monday, 15 February 2016.

According to Michael Meyer, FNB W2W MTB Director, entrants can look forward to a mountain biking experience like no other. “Each year we focus on refreshing the rider’s experience both on route and in the festival village. The 2016 event will be no different. Riders can expect a memorable event. We look forward to welcoming all to the start line the first weekend in November.”

“Exciting route upgrades are definitely on the cards for 2016,” says Johan Kriegler, FNB W2W MTB Director. “Stage One will include more scenic sections and contour single tracks, while Stages Two and Three will become even more fun and exciting. We are aiming to establish a long term nature conservation partnership plan with landowners, conservancies and environmental agencies. Our goal will be to systematically replace alien vegetation with indigenous vegetation. Our on route nature conservation efforts, combined with sustainable job creation opportunities will continue to be a driving force of the FNB W2W MTB Team”.
