The hardtail mountain bike continues to fulfil an essential role in the sport, both in terms of beginners and the youth. SCOTT’s recently re-designed Scale 900 range sees the combination of innovation and technology and reliable big-brand components. And now, SCOTT Sports Africa has made riding a Scale more accessible with new pricing.

The SCOTT Scale 900 range comprises carbon and aluminium models with racing inspired geometry to ensure optimal efficiency and 100mm of suspension fork travel to enable riders to tackle trails and races with confidence.

In its quest to help grow mountain biking in South Africa, SCOTT Sports Africa has introduced new pricing on six models: The carbon-fibre framed 940 and the aluminium-framed 950, 960, 965, 970 and 980. These bikes all come with 100mm travel forks, from brands like RockShox, Fox and Suntour, each with remote lockout to enable on-the-fly suspension control.

For race-day peace of mind and shifting simplicity, each model is specced with 1×12 drivetrains from SRAM or Shimano. Braking confidence comes in the form of hydraulic disc brakes from Shimano and optimal traction is courtesy of tubeless-ready tyres from Maxxis and Schwalbe. The Scale range is race-ready and feature-packed. With the new pricing it also offers exceptional value.
