Garmin Varia Radar RCT 715

Garmin’s Varia Radar has improved cyclist safety with its technology that warns of motor vehicles approaching from behind. The updated model incorporates a camera that records what’s happening behind you while you ride.

It delivers an early visual and audio warning of approaching vehicles from behind that allows you to ride more aware and also potentially save your life, as well as those you are riding with.

Garmin has opened compatibility, so that users of other GPS brands that have the Radar feature, can connect to others in the same riding bunch using the Garmin Varia.

Garmin Varia UT800 headlight

The Garmin Varia UT800 headlight is a smart headlight that works with or without a Garmin GPS device. It’s a headlight that can be attached to handlebars or helmet. If it’s paired to your Garmin Edge device, it senses your speed and reduces brightness at lower speeds and increases brightness at higher speeds, thus ensuring up to six hours of battery charge. It delivers up to 800 lumens at full brightness.

We kicked off the annual South African Mountain Biking Survey in 2019 and Garmin has been our presenting partner each year. After a tough year in terms of the South African economy, we’re keen to find out more about you and your mountain biking in 2023.

We use the annual survey to gauge preferences, track trends and get an overall picture of the South African mountain biking consumer market. We break the reveal into four categories – You and Your Riding; Your Bike; Your Gear and Your Performance Measurement. But all the questions are in this survey which should take less than 8 minutes to complete.
