Team Kross, home to four-time UCI Women’s Elite Team winners Jolanda Neff and Maja Włoszczowska, as well as 2016 Polish National Champion Bartłomiej Wawak and two-time European Championship silver medalist Fabian Giger, return to Shimano XTR racing components in a partnership that takes them up to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
The team’s Kross Level TE hardtail bikes feature SHIMANO’S XTR Di2 drivetrains, including the ultralight hollow-forged XTR HOLLOWTECH II RACE crankset, HG-901 SIL-TEC coated chain and XTR’s SHIMANO SHADOW RD+ Di2 rear derailleur with its clutch mechanism for greater chain retention options.
Braking meanwhile will be taken care of with powerful XTR M9000 RACE hydraulic levers and XTR M9000 RACE calipers designed for cross country racing.
Maja and Bartłomiej have the added benefit of racing with Shimano’s standout S-PHYRE XC9 cross country race shoe with Boa IP1 dials for rapid, easy and accurate adjustments on or off the bike.
Kross Racing Team Manager Tomasz Swierczyński said: “We’re geared towards getting Jolanda and Maja to the 2020 Olympics with strong placings across all World Cup rounds this year so to have the best quality Shimano components is a massive advantage for us this season.”
Jolanda Neff: “I absolutely love working with Shimano and being on XTR. From the components to the mechanics, everything works so well. I’m thrilled and can’t wait to start racing again!”
Kross Racing Team will start their 2018 XCO campaign at Banyoles in the MTB International Catalan Cup on 25th February 2018.
