The year 2023 was a big one for UCI Downhill racing. The format changed under the new organisers to add in a semi-final on the same day as the final, which essentially gave racers two huge runs to deliver in one day. The pressure! Some handled the pressure better than others and we were treated to a season that saw seven men winning in the eight rounds and a more competitive than ever women’s division.
