The Momentum Medical Scheme Cape Pioneer Trek, presented by Biogen, is a world-class mountain bike stage race that takes place over seven days in the Karoo region of South Africa. Biogen is giving away one team entry worth R45000 to one lucky mountain biker (and his/her teammate). Here’s how to enter!
The 2021 edition of the Momentum Medical Scheme Cape Pioneer Trek, presented by Biogen will see the route retain its focus on diversity and rider enjoyment which has turned it into one of the most highly anticipated events on the mountain biking calendar.
The 12th edition of the Cape Pioneer Trek from 5 to 11 September 2021 will cover a distance of 462km and incorporate 11 250m of elevation gain. Riders will also have the privilege of competing on new trails that have been specifically constructed for the #RaceWithSoul.
Although there is a solo-entry option the Cape Pioneer Trek is primarily a two-rider team event, which adds a new dynamic and gives riders both a support companion, a witness to the challenge and someone to share the reward of finishing with.
In addition to the team entry, the prizewinner and his/her teammate will also get a R2000 Biogen hamper and a set of Biogen cycling kit.

2. Post a pic of your favourite Biogen product on your Instagram account and tag us @biogensa with the hashtag #CapePioneerTrekWIN
