The inaugural Glacier Waterberg Traverse is a new stage race in the Waterberg region of Limpopo, less than a three-hour drive from Johannesburg. TREAD Media and Dryland Event Management are giving away two Solo Race entry packages worth R12500 each. Here’s how to get into the draw.
Anticipation for the inaugural Glacier Waterberg Traverse, which will take place at Summerplace Game Reserve from Friday 3-Sunday 5 May 2024, is building. There’s been a steady flow of entries for the shorter Ride event, which has been designed for intermediate and social mountain bikers, including eBike riders, looking for a fresh mountain biking experience not too far from Gauteng.
The addition of the longer Race event has piqued the interest of experienced mountain bikers and competitive racers, including some of the professional teams, eager to race on the world-class singletrack trails network at Summerplace Game Reserve. This will be one of the few Solo stage races in the country and the route has been designed to ensure the event is challenging and delivers an exciting racing contest.
